Maria Meerovich pianist. International project "musical expedition". How do you like the audience? What are your impressions?

took place in Vladimir final concert"Musical Expedition" This unique project for our country is taking place in the region for the second year in a row. About the results musical journey- Kristina Ivanova.

It was an experiment, and it was a success, say the organizers of the Musical Expedition project. Last year it all started with an unexpected idea to hold a concert at the ruins of Khrapovitsky’s estate. Not only the audience liked it, but also the musicians. So much so that this year world-famous artists again set off on a creative journey: Kovrov, Mstera, Gorokhovets, the Taneyev family estate in Marinino and the village of Davydovo.

MARIA MEEROVICH, PIANIST:"Absolutely everyone had the opportunity to come to any concert. Due to the fact that it is on outdoors. And it was so nice to see people coming from other places. And for Vladimir, traveling through villages is simply a delight.”

And the culmination of this delight is the final concert on Vladimir’s Cathedral Square. The artists and guests of the festival were personally congratulated by the regional governor Svetlana Orlova. The head of the region promised that such cultural events will definitely become traditional. The participants of the “Expedition” are sure that the concert has already become such. The program is rich and unusual: it all started with the performance of classical works, and then a surprise awaited the viewer.

Crossover concert - a harmonious synthesis of classics with rock, pop and electronic music. Works by Bach with bluesy notes or Gershwin in a jazz arrangement. This is not DJing, the musicians deny. This is the ability to subtly erase the border, leaving the unique sound of the classics.

One of the main guests of the festival was Georgy Yufa, a famous cellist. Participant in the show "The Voice". In Vladimir, the artist not only played with the Governor’s Orchestra, but also performed solo parts. According to Georgy (and he calls himself a student of Boris Andrianov), this format of the “Musical Expedition” is a godsend. To hear many of those who performed at the Musical Expedition venues, you often need to try to buy tickets in time and even fly to other countries.

GEORGE YUFA CELLIST, SINGER:“I believe that this is simply necessary. People who were lucky enough to attend the festival concerts, perhaps in a different situation, would not have been able to attend. I would especially like to thank the orchestra artists, who today, in fact, spent half a day or even more here, on the site, in the wild wind and in the cold. And in general, I think this is a heroic and professional feat.”

The second “Expedition” succeeded, says the main organizer of the musical trip, Boris Andrianov. It is already being called a record for the number of viewers. It is especially important that most of them, the author of the project emphasizes, are provincial listeners.

BORIS ANDRIANOV, CELLIST, AUTHOR OF THE "MUSICAL EXPEDITION" PROJECT:"I saw amazement on their faces, because this was something unexpected. Absolutely. We played serious music, but we played in places where it had never been heard. And this inconsistency, this inconsistency - it worked. And it was such an experiment that was a great success, it seems to me.”

ALEVTINA MALOVA, SPECTATOR:“Great idea. I was in Davydovo yesterday. It’s just super. I think bringing art to the masses is very cool.”

What the route will be next year has not yet been decided. But they promised that the “Musical Expedition” would definitely hit the road again.

Culture

On June 11, a unique event took place on the stage of the Philharmonic Society as part of the Platonov Arts Festival, in which the world-recognized Vadim Repin, Sergei Nakaryakov and Maria Meerovich took part. According to the organizers, tickets were sold out several months before the concert. The thing is that the musicians are performing in a trio format for the first time.

Violin, piano and flugelhorn
Pianist Maria Meerovich and trumpeter Sergei Nakaryakov have been giving joint concerts for eleven years. They were united with Vadim Repin by Johannes Brahms, or rather a trio he wrote for piano, violin and horn. Interestingly, Brahms originally planned to create an opera. While working on it, he often communicated with Turgenev. The opera was never written, but a wonderful trio appeared, the writing of which was to some extent inspired by our compatriot. Initially, the third instrument was the horn. In the concert, her part is played by Sergei Nakaryakov on the flugelhorn, a young instrument in classical music. “Sergey Nakaryakov has the skill to make a work interesting,” says Vadim Repin. The program also included works by Robert Schumann, Francis Poulenc and Claude Debussy.

Antique or modern instruments?
During conversations with journalists, the musicians talked about their instruments, the boom of classical music and much more. Violinist Vadim Repin brought to Voronezh an instrument that is about three hundred years old. It was on this violin that Tchaikovsky's concerto was first played. Repin explained why musicians treat instruments with such reverence. “Instruments are like our vocal cords,” he says. “Everyone has their own personality.” Over time, a friendship develops between the musician and the instrument. Interestingly, unlike violins, new instruments are preferred in wind instruments. The service life of a pipe is on average 30-40 years.

Concert = performers + sympathetic audience
The musicians also noted the boom of classical music in Asia, especially in China. The thing is that now there are several bright performers and aroused this very interest. The same process can occur in any other area. A few talented individuals make something attractive to the public. In general, the musicians noted that the audience had become significantly “younger.” In Russia, according to Vadim Repin, there is an excellent balance in terms of the public: it is quite spoiled and treats everything with interest. In order for the concert to really take place, it is not enough for the skill of the performers, it requires an audience that has come to empathize. The violinist also said that concerts in Russia are his priority. “After concerts in Russia there are always warm memories.”

Support for young talents
All three performers felt the “taste of the stage” in childhood. Vadim Repin told the press that he tries to meet with young people as often as possible and give some master classes. It is impossible to teach anything in two hours, but you can set the vector of development, which is sometimes very important for young musicians. As part of the festival in Novosibirsk, organized by Vadim Repin, the “Children for Children” project is being implemented, when young talents and play for children.

The musicians also noted the high level of the Platonov Arts Festival. Vadim Repin said that Mikhail Pletnev, who presented the residents of Voronezh with a unique piano concert, came from the capital of the Black Earth Region very inspired.

Fiery temperament combined with impeccable technique, poetry and sensitivity of interpretations are the main qualities of the performing style of one of the most irresistible violinists today Vadim Repin.

“Vadim Repin is one of the best violinists in the world. Like his great Russian predecessors, he can convey tension and passion without forcing the sound...,” the Los Angeles Times wrote about him.

At the age of 11, the violinist won Gold medal at the International Wieniawski Competition. In 1985, at the age of 14, Vadim Repin performed in Tokyo, Munich, Berlin and Helsinki; a year later - a successful debut at New York's Carnegie Hall. In 1989, Vadim Repin became the youngest winner of the most prestigious International competition Queen Elizabeth in Brussels throughout its history. After this victory, the musician received worldwide recognition.

Vadim Repin is a welcome guest in the most prestigious halls of the world, where he performs solo and chamber concerts and with the best orchestras: the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestras of Berlin, Vienna, Israel, Los Angeles, New York, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, symphony orchestras London, Boston, Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, Philadelphia, Montreal, Cincinnati, Cleveland, the La Scala Theater Orchestra in Milan and many others.

Repin has recorded more than 30 discs, awarded with such prestigious international awards as Echo Award as Instrumentalist of the Year 1999, Diapason d'Or, Prix Caecilia and Edison Award.
