Which imported passenger car is the widest? Which foreign cars have the cheapest spare parts? List of cars by class

Most owners of used cars sooner or later come to the decision that it is better to purchase a new car.

This is much more profitable than constantly investing in maintaining the viability of an over-aged cramp, even if it is a “cool boomer”.

Car enthusiasts are increasingly turning their attention from European junk cars to cars that have just rolled off the assembly line.

Fortunately, a considerable number of foreign auto giants have directed their interests to the Russian market and invested in the production and assembly of cars in the Russian Federation, which has allowed them to significantly reduce prices.

For modern Russia three main types of machines are relevant:

  1. large black geldings, preferably with a flashing light;
  2. the remnants of the Soviet automobile industry, which, to give credit to the AvtoVAZ-Renault-Nissan association, have become much better;
  3. cheap and preferably new foreign cars.

Let's talk about the latter and make a rating of the minimum prices

So, our seven (a sacred number for a Russian person) of the cheapest new foreign cars. “Toy” Indian “ta-ta-na-na” and other crafts that are unsuitable for our roads are not taken into account. Only those cars came into view that are officially supplied (or assembled) and serviced on the territory of the Russian Federation.
To make the comparison fair, we took into account the cost of cars with a minimum configuration (prices given in the text are current as of 11/6/13).

7th place

Seventh place goes to a cute baby Kia Picanto (367 200 rubles).

In the “Classic” configuration, the pot-bellied cutie is equipped with a liter 69-horsepower engine, electric power steering (adjustable for tilt), central locking and front airbags.

Even the rear seats fold 40/60.

The car is small, but it’s perfect for the city: the combined fuel consumption is low - 4.2 l/100 km (highway/city - 3.6/5.4), when parking you can squeeze in where another car won’t fit.

6th place

Sixth month then Renault Logan (353,000 rubles). She is also Dacia Logan, Renault Tondar, Nissan Aprio, Mahindra Verito - a special development of the company for poor countries.

This car is not allowed into Western Europe so as not to spoil its reputation. Nevertheless, in our conditions the car performed well: the suspension, largely borrowed from the Renault 19, is strong and reliable, the ground clearance is high, and the engine is undemanding to domestic fuel.

The minimum equipment includes a driver's airbag, an ashtray and a “normal” spare wheel. The car is quite large and very rationally planned; the inside is much more spacious than it seems from the outside.

The interior is spartan, but neat in a European way. The team of cars built on the B0 platform, designed for Logan, includes Lada Largus. Although not officially a foreign car, it is in no way inferior to its counterparts with a diamond-shaped nameplate.

5th place

Fifth place in the top new ultra-cheap foreign cars Chery Bonus (359 999 rubles). True, a limited batch of last year’s cars, which were not sold out during the year, are sold from 299,999 rubles.

The Chinese liftback with a one and a half liter engine is simply royally equipped: the base includes air conditioning, power steering, driver's airbag, front windows, central locking, alarm and a bunch of other pleasant and useful little things.

Alas, despite their attractive appearance, the Chinese are far from the quality and reliability of their Europeans and Korean neighbors.

4th place

The fourth position is taken by the small but nimble Cherry Kimo (350 900 rubles) with a modern 1.3-liter 16-valve engine. It looks like a nice, very well equipped car: air conditioning, power steering, ABS, full power accessories, mp3 with USB and much more. Everything that is possible is regulated.

The interior is quite spacious for the size of the car. Several companies worked on the Kimo project: the design belongs to the Italian Bertone, the engine was developed jointly with the Austrian AVL, and Chevrolet engineers worked on the technical part and interior. The only alarming thing is that the new car is based on an old, albeit deeply modernized platform Daewoo Matiz.

3rd place

So we made it to the podium: three cheapest new foreign cars.

Third place for Geely MK (329 000 rubles). 16 valve engine with a volume of 1.5 liters, it is powered by AI-92 gasoline with a tank volume of 45 liters, which will appeal to domestic drivers.

The car is quite large, 4.3 meters long, and has a very rich basic configuration.

For their northern neighbors, the Chinese have provided some kind of “engine adaptation for cold climates” and heated butts for the driver and front passenger.

As for design and reliability, Russian car enthusiasts nicknamed the Geely MK “sad dzhulka.” Perhaps for good reason.

2nd place

- “direct successor” of the legendary Opel Kadett E.

The only additional equipment included in the base is a brake light and a glove compartment.

Proven over the years, rational, quite reliable and maintainable, but already a very ancient development of German engineers in a Central Asian design.

And the interior is rustic and there is nothing to be surprised under the hood, and it is unsightly in appearance. But the ruble decides, as they say! For its size and functionality, a very attractive price for what is also a new car.

1st place

The first place rightfully goes to the one collected by the caring hands of Uzbek comrades. Daewoo Matiz (247 000 rubles).

Its Chinese twin Chery QQ has already been removed from the assembly line, although the remaining ones are still being sold at a price of 267,000 rubles.

In the basic version, the engine is weak, three-cylinder, 0.8 liters. But for a quiet ride around the city this is enough. Standard equipment - “steering wheel-motor-wheels”, no frills. Unfortunately, this small, cramped car cannot be called economical. Consumption city/highway 5/7.4 liters/100 km (compare with Kia Picanto).

The Korean design is based on a redesigned version of the 1982 Suzuki Alto trolley. Matiz is not particularly durable.

So what should you choose?

Fans of “bells and whistles” who do not have the opportunity to purchase a “Japanese” or “European” should look at the “Chinese”.

However, the cost of spare parts for inexpensive new foreign cars of Chinese and Korean origin is quite high. Cheap cars can be surprisingly expensive to maintain.

This does not apply to UzDaewoo products: the Uzbek manufacturer is not trying to “recapture” low price on cheap spare parts. And the market for used units is also quite wide. Unlike the “Chinese”, Daewoo will not have problems with bodywork.

If you choose a car based on reliability, then in our TOP out of competition. Since it is now produced in Russia, there are no problems with service and spare parts. Over time, the same Renault Logan and Kia Picanto will lose less in price than others.

The example of Renault Logan turned out to be economically very successful. Experiencing a sales crisis and suffering losses in the markets of developed countries, large automakers turned their greedy gaze to the markets of poorer countries of the world and began vying with each other to promise to please us with new, but very cheap foreign cars in the near future.

Renault-Nissan, together with AvtoVAZ, is going to launch several more projects on the B0 platform.

There are plans to revive the Japanese brand Datsun, using a trolley from Lada cars (hopefully not from the “classics”). Chevrolet, VW, PSA, Toyota are also making grandiose plans to create super-cheap cars.

The legendary British MG was finally sold to the Chinese and produces budget cars. Apparently, the same fate awaits Volvo; the French PSA and the Italian Alfa-Romeo are teetering on the brink. Rollce-Royce is silent for now.

When most people hear the word “new foreign car,” they think of powerful, large, and sophisticated cars at a high price. However, buying a car from foreign manufacturers can be quite a profitable purchase if you choose a budget car that is inexpensive and easy to maintain. What are the cheapest foreign cars today that can be found on the domestic market? automotive market? This title in Russia can be claimed by cars whose cost does not exceed $12 thousand. Mostly these are new cars manufactured by concerns of China, Korea or France.

Chery Sweet

This new foreign car is a clone of the Korean Daewoo Matiz. The engine capacity of this car in the minimum version is only 0.8 liters. At the beginning of 2014, its price was around 200 thousand rubles. The car was manufactured in China. It has front-wheel drive, and the power of the power unit is 52 hp. This small hatchback can accelerate to hundreds in 13 seconds, and the maximum speed available to it is 135 km/h. This model from Chery has a slang nickname - cuckoo. If we talk about the quality of assembly and components of Chery Sweet, then, unfortunately for the Russian auto industry, it is higher than that of similar VAZ models, so for Russia the Chinese clone is a real competitor.

This Korean Uzbek, which was copied by Chinese automakers, is not much more expensive than the leader among the cheapest cars. No frills, minimal fuel consumption, economical but cramped car. This baby accelerates to hundreds in 17 seconds, the maximum speed is 144 km/h. For its power of 51 hp, the small hatchback consumes a lot - about 7 liters per 100 km. The length of the car is slightly less than 3.5 m, so for city streets where it is difficult to find a parking space, the small dimensions of the car are a definite plus. The car can accommodate 5 people together with the driver. Daewoo Matiz has normal ground clearance for budget ones passenger cars- 15 cm.

The next cheapest car on the list is more powerful than the previous 0.8 liter. This is already a class B car and its engine capacity is 1.1 liters. Of course, its dynamics are not the most impressive - 17 seconds to hundreds, but this is already a full-fledged sedan. True, there are only 4 seats in it (including the driver’s). Unlike Chery Sweet, which is considered a complete copy of the Korean Daewoo Matiz, this Chinese car has its own design, which experts call in one phrase - rounded simplicity. The car, despite its price, is equipped with 14-inch alloy wheels, which sets her apart from her classmates.

This inexpensive machine has:

  • safety steering column;
  • driver and passenger front airbags;
  • central locking;
  • electric windows;
  • power steering;
  • immobilizer, alarm and central locking.

A foreign-made C class sedan for a small amount is what the owner of a Chevrolet Lanos can get. True, this car is assembled not somewhere far abroad, but in neighboring Ukraine at the plant where Zaporozhets were recently manufactured. You can currently buy this car with a 1.5 liter engine in almost all countries former USSR. The maximum speed of the cheap Chevrolet is 170 km/h, and it reaches a hundred in 12.6 seconds. It could be called the new people's car, if not for the Chinese competitors, and the current political situation in Ukraine.

The Chinese car for the Russian market is initially produced at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Since 2003, subsequently, after its removal from production in Kaliningrad, car production in Russia was resumed at TaGaz in Taganrog. There the car was called Vortex Corda. The car is produced in a 5-door liftback body and is equipped with 1.6 liter engines producing 87 and 94 hp in combination with a manual transmission.

If you need foreign cars that are cheap to maintain, then this is Daewoo Nexia. It’s worth taking a closer look at this car, since you can meet this car, thanks to its popularity and price, in Moscow, Vladivostok and any other city in the Russian Federation.

Of course, the successor to the Opel Kadett E is rustic and unprepossessing. But that's not the main thing. The main advantages of Daewoo Nexia for the consumer are:

  • good maintainability;
  • rational arrangement of components and assemblies;
  • low cost of spare parts;
  • low price of consumables;
  • German quality;
  • moderate gasoline consumption;
  • acceptable dynamics.

Like most foreign cars of this brand, Daewoo Nexia is assembled in brotherly Uzbekistan. Depending on the version and configuration of the car, you can buy it for 290-390 thousand rubles. True, the entire model range is equipped with a manual transmission, which makes it possible to move around modern cities Not very convenient in traffic jams.

This car was specially designed by French automakers for low-income countries. On the market Western Europe They try not to let this car in because of its rather budget-friendly characteristics. Although this is not entirely justified, since Logan can boast:

  • practical 155 mm ground clearance;
  • spacious interior;
  • reliable and strong body;
  • an engine that is not picky about fuel quality;
  • rational interior layout;
  • compliance with environmental class Euro 4.

Generally speaking, for the Russian market it is an unpretentious car with a 75 hp engine. is considered an acceptable and practical choice, especially considering its cost.

What other car can be on the list of the most inexpensive cars? Of course, developed in China. Great Wall Peri is the first car in a sedan from Great Wall. This brand is usually famous for SUVs or pickups. Traditionally, as with other products of the Chinese automobile industry, its design can be seen borrowings from European, American or Japanese cars. Wall Peri is a bit reminiscent of the famous and sold worldwide Nissan Note and Fiat Panda with optics from Opel or Ford.

This compact and cheap hatchback is considered a successor to the Daewoo Matiz. Compared to previous versions of the car, latest version became a little larger both externally and internally. The car is equipped with power units of 1 and 1.2 liters. Depending on the preferences of the future owner, the car can be equipped with either a manual or an automatic transmission.

The list of the cheapest foreign cars is completed by another Chinese car - Gelly MK. It is available in class C sedan and hatchback body styles. The Chinese used Toyota Vios as a base for the car. There are modifications with a power unit with a volume of 1.3 to 1.8 liters. Cars with a 1.5 liter engine are supplied to the Russian market.

If we talk about the cheapest cars for the Russian market, then one trend can be observed. The ranking of the most inexpensive cars on the domestic market includes cars manufactured in countries where labor is inexpensive or produced in countries located in the former USSR.

Any car, regardless of the country of manufacture, technical parameters or other variables, requires repairs throughout its entire service life. However, some owners raise money for car maintenance from last bit of strength, while others spend pennies, saving the savings for other purposes. The secret lies in, on which reliability depends, as well as in the cost of spare parts and the estimate of standard repair hours by official service centers. To get a comfortable car that won’t create a lot of problems, it’s worth taking a closer look at the cheapest foreign cars to maintain.

Some cars will not burden the owner with expensive maintenance

Compact class

In category small cars The legendary Daewoo Matiz turned out to be the cheapest to maintain. We are talking about the most common modification of the car, equipped with a manual transmission and a 0.8 three-cylinder engine, inherited from Suzuki. With a mileage of 150 thousand kilometers, the cost of repairing a Matiz is 30 thousand rubles. During maintenance, filters and rubber suspension parts are most often changed. The engine requires a major overhaul closer to 200 thousand, when the catalytic converter also fails. Shock absorbers, springs and silent blocks last approximately 50–75 thousand kilometers, which can be called an excellent indicator, given the quality of Russian roads.

If you want to know which foreign cars have the cheapest spare parts, Matiz will also be at the top of the ranking. The Daewoo Corporation long ago transferred the production of this compact car from Korea to Uzbekistan, which made it possible to significantly reduce production costs. In addition, the amount of 30 thousand implies the use of branded spare parts, while in Russia you can find their cheap analogues - including from the Chery QQ, the prototype of which was the Matiz. Some motorists don't even consider it vehicle a foreign car and deal with it accordingly, installing spare parts produced by AvtoVAZ, which require only minor modifications.

In addition, experts recommend paying attention to the Citroen C3, which requires approximately 42 thousand rubles for maintenance within the specified mileage. Its spare parts are quite expensive, but the car itself is considered one of the most successful French foreign cars in terms of reliability. Of course, we are talking about a version with a naturally aspirated engine, since turbocharged units require rebuilding up to 150 thousand kilometers. The main costs are shock absorbers, silent blocks, as well as spark plugs and filters. Engines last more than 200 thousand kilometers without requiring major repairs - the same can be said about automatic transmissions and manual transmissions.

The Hyundai i20 turned out to be the most expensive to maintain among compact foreign cars. Its innovative high-power engines often require serious repairs, and automatic transmissions can fail within 100 thousand kilometers. Driving fast on Russian roads causes destruction of the suspension of this inexpensive foreign car. The result is easy to predict - only the cost of repairs is estimated at 115 thousand rubles with a mileage not exceeding 150 thousand km.

People's choice

It is very easy to say which foreign car is cheaper to maintain from the C-class - this can be called the second model of the Uzbek-Korean enterprise: Daewoo Nexia. Costs within the range indicated above are 38 thousand, which is an excellent figure, comparable only to the latest domestic technology. Of course, such a foreign car costs a little more than the Matiz - in addition to the specified suspension parts and filters, elements of the engine intake system are added, as well as an exhaust pipe, which is often damaged by corrosion. However, prices for spare parts are even cheaper, which allows owners of a compact sedan to save a lot of money.

Second on the list of the cheapest foreign cars to maintain is Renault Logan. If you doubt the reliability of this car, be sure to ask Moscow taxi drivers. They can tell you about the “indestructible” suspension, 1.6 engines that require overhaul after 250 thousand kilometers, as well as “eternal” gearboxes. Interesting feature This car is due to the excellent build quality of the front panel, which allows you to push back the occurrence of squeaks to the line of 250–300 thousand kilometers. The result of the French-Romanian sedan is only 45 thousand rubles with a mileage not exceeding 150 thousand.

Practical prestige

Surveys of specialists from official service centers also help to find out which foreign cars are the cheapest to maintain in class D. The undisputed leader is the Peugeot 407, which captivates drivers with its reliable engines and automatic transmissions that require repairs only after 250 thousand kilometers. The chassis of such a foreign car also inspires confidence, unless we are talking about air suspension. The only problems that can be mentioned are the electronics that frequently fail and frequent ignition problems. The average cost of servicing a car is 60 thousand rubles per 150 thousand kilometers.

Ford Mondeo took second place in terms of cheapness of maintenance. The American sedan, produced in Germany, pleases with reliable power units, although it is somewhat disappointing with its capricious robotic transmissions. The main cost item for Mondeo owners is the adaptive suspension components, which provide the car with excellent handling. In addition, reviews show that in foreign cars with fabric interiors, the seat upholstery quickly deteriorates, which can also require considerable expenses from the car owner. Average costs according to official service centers are 72 thousand rubles.

Timeless classic

To determine the absolute leaders in the rating of reliable and serviceable foreign cars, it is worth carefully studying the reviews of the owners. The first place in this “people's hit parade” is occupied by the Mercedes C-Klasse in the back of the W202. There are individual stories about engines that traveled more than a million kilometers before overhaul, but the average service life of these power units is 500–600 thousand kilometers, which is also a lot! Automatic transmissions last up to 300 thousand, although most owners of used German foreign cars prefer manual transmissions. However, the main advantage of cars is their exceptional simplicity of design and the absence of a large amount of electronics, due to which they can be repaired without the use of expensive equipment.

There is an opinion that only domestically produced cars can be bought at a low price. But the reality is that you can buy cars from world brands quite inexpensively. Let's look at which foreign cars good quality can be purchased now.

Factors influencing popularity

The main “driving” force is, of course, . Moreover, not a specific model or brand of car, but an indication of an attractive price and additional bonuses in the form of service and other pleasant little things.

  • Airbags (2 pcs.)
  • Climate control.
  • Central locking with remote control.
  • Window lifters (electric).
  • Additional convenience when refueling (the tank can be opened from the passenger compartment - remotely).

But at the same time, the car has a rigid suspension and a clutch pedal.

"Chery Amulet A15-I" is more powerful than the previous model, has gasoline engine 1.6 liters and power 116 hp. With. The car is front-wheel drive with a five-speed gearbox.

“Daewoo Nexia Sohc” - the advantages of this car are that it has been in operation in the country for quite a long time, so there will be no problems, as well as with operation. A one and a half liter engine with a power of 80 “horses” in the urban cycle “eats” about 7 and a half liters/100 km. The disadvantage is the limited equipment. For additional amenities you will have to pay about 50 thousand rubles.

“Renault Logan Authentiqueс” with a 1.4-liter engine, which is weaker than the previous model (73 hp), has much richer basic equipment:

"Chevrolet Spark A5LG500" The equipment is quite nice: audio system, air conditioning. This: has a spacious trunk, reliable fastenings for special child seats.

Most of your fellow citizens are concerned about the question: will the purchase become a cheap trap and a headache in the future? We would like to reassure you that the options offered are manufactured using latest technologies from high-quality components and spare parts.

The next price range starts from 300 thousand rubles

“Geely MK Base” is a wonderful offer from the Chinese automobile industry. The car is equipped with a driver's airbag, air conditioning, and power windows. And a nice little bonus: heated mirrors.

"Kia Picanto" Korean manufacturers have created a good option that has a reliable engine (1.1 l). Interesting streamlined shapes and modern creative design, on the one hand, help, and on the other hand, they will please appearance. A magnificent car with a stylish design guarantees reliability and a pleasant ride. This is facilitated by the electric power steering, which is adjustable for the driver. The liter engine helps save money during daily trips, since it consumes about 5.4 liters in the city, and about 3.6 liters per 100 km on the highways. Small dimensions allow for excellent maneuverability on busy roads.

Cars more expensive than 350 thousand rubles

Kia Peugeot attracts car enthusiasts with its cute design. Korean manufacturers have perfectly combined modern technologies, reliability and excellent technical specifications. The result was interesting option at a very affordable price.

the cheapest foreign cars you can buy in Russia

Nowadays, almost any “auto news” feed is replete with articles and reviews of supercars - fire-breathing, growling monsters, driving around various Nurburgrings at cosmic speeds and gnawing mouse holes in the ozone layer. The only problem is that only a few people can afford such cars, and mere mortals can only drool and try to get aesthetic pleasure. But what if we look at the modern auto industry from a diametrically opposite angle? Talk about cheap cars? And not just about cheap ones, but about the Cheapest cars that can be purchased today?

Below we will name the 5 most affordable cars in Russia and choose the best one in our opinion. And yes, we will reserve the right to a little luxury - the top 5 will consist exclusively of foreign cars. Don't forget that a dealer offering cheap new cars may well turn out to be clever... No, no, not a deceiver, of course, but a marketer. In any case, be careful when purchasing. So, let's go.

Daewoo Matiz (low cost). The price in the minimum configuration is 187,000 rubles.

One of the smallest and most popular cars in the country. To be honest, it is unlikely that anything will attract you to it other than the price, given that there is nothing special to attract. For the cheapest package (Low cost) you will get nothing more than a vehicle on four wheels. But a spare tire, hubcaps, a rear wiper, a stereo, central locking, and heated windows are already a luxury that you have to pay for. As a matter of fact, apart from the car itself and the reputation of a short-sighted person without a personal life, you can hardly expect anything.

The build quality leaves much to be desired. There are not enough fender liners, anti-gravel treatment, we saved on several relays (if you turn on the wipers, they work continuously, without any pause). And given that Matiz is especially popular among the fair sex, many secretaries and teachers will have to retrain as auto mechanics. However, this car also has some advantages. Low consumption, compact size, ease of maintenance - these are, perhaps, the main ones, which, by the way, are inherent in absolutely all small cars. And here Matiz could not stand out in any way. Therefore, if you want a small, ugly, poorly equipped, low-quality, but very cheap foreign car, you can safely take the Matiz. What about me? I would travel by tram and would not smell the 187 thousand rubles thrown into the wind.

Daewoo Nexia (low cost). The price in the minimum configuration is 237,000 rubles.

Second place in our ranking of cheap foreign cars is also occupied by a car from a famous Uzbek manufacturer. However, you can immediately notice some improvements in it. It looks more solid (if such a word is even applicable to Daewoo), drives faster, is better equipped, and, unlike the Matiz, does not at all look like a boot that has lain at the bottom of a river for two weeks. Now about everything in more detail.

This time Daewoo offers much more in the minimum configuration. There is even some kind of stereo system, although you will be missing two rear speakers. But these are small things compared to the soul-warming fact that the company will generously supply you with a spare wheel, central locking and normal wipers. Also, the undoubted advantages of a car include its accessibility. Nexia, Matiz and ZAZ Chance are always available at the official dealer, and if it occurs to you to install any additional equipment such as air conditioning or power steering, you will only have to wait two or three days. And if you need the basic equipment, then at least take it now and go. And there are many sales shops around the country. Speaking of shortcomings, the first thing worth noting is the build quality. Nexia can only be washed at a car wash, otherwise the body can be easily scratched; in cold weather, the insulation of the wires in the cabin begins to crumble; there is the same problem with anti-gravel treatment as in Matiz.

The car looks like a completely ordinary sedan, without pretensions to style or high cost. You won't find any ridiculous body kits, spoilers or wide wheel arches on the Nexia. The dynamics, however, are pleasantly surprising. Although Korean engineers managed to extract some 80 horses from a one and a half liter engine, the maximum speed is nevertheless 180 km/h, which is quite decent. In general, for the money Daewoo offered a pretty good car, and perhaps it has every chance become the best of the five cheapest foreign cars in our rating

ZAZ Chance. The price in the minimum configuration is 250,000 rubles.

Many of us do not understand the fact that for some reason the Koreans from Daewoo needed to change the nameplate of their Lanos to a ZAZ (with its “humpbacked” reputation). The fact is that previously, according to the contract between Daewoo and GM, this car was delivered to Russia with the Chevrolet badge. Recently the contract expired and now we have almost the same car, but with a different logo. Just think: a South Korean car (designed, by the way, by the same designer who developed the Alfa Brera), produced for several years with the badge of the manufacturer of old American sports cars, which is now made by a bunch of Ukrainians at the same plant where the ZAZ-968 previously rolled off the assembly line. But did this explosive mixture result in anything good?

Chance turned out to be cheaper than Lanos in a similar configuration by about 10%. This is where the benefits end. Otherwise, it's the same car, even worse in some places (usually due to the build quality). So what can we expect when buying Chance? Let's start with the engine. Made in Melitopol, the simplest power unit in the line has a volume of 1.3 liters and a power of 70 hp. In power and traction it is significantly inferior to its Korean and Chinese competitors. But even if you take the configuration with a more powerful engine, similar “Asians” will be far ahead. The box in Chance is also not without its complaints. It is difficult to engage gears (especially first and third), and in winter you generally begin to feel like an arm wrestler.

Most of the advantages of this car are hidden in the cabin. Of course, you can’t count on the equipment, but the seat comfort and ergonomics pleasantly surprise. Quite soon, creaks and rattles in the finishing appear and begin to irritate, but ZAZ craftsmen will quickly correct this for you within the first four years after purchase. In general, the car does not fully justify its price. Although it is cheaper than Daewoo and Chevrolet with the same name, it is still far from its Korean classmates. And the reputation of the brand makes you think twice before buying something with the abbreviation ZAZ.

Lifan Breez. The price in the minimum configuration is 260,000 rubles.

So, in fourth place in the ranking of the cheapest foreign cars in Russia is a car from the Chinese manufacturer Lifan. In our country, the car is assembled at a plant in Cherkessk. Despite the name, which is not entirely euphonious to the Russian ear, the car is quite popular in lately. This is not surprising - being only 10 thousand more expensive, Lifan offers the buyer much more than its Ukrainian competitor.

He looks modest and elegant - this has a positive effect on the first impression. The interior trim is made of soft plastic (a very big advantage, because even the one and a half million Japanese now have gray, boring plastic from washing machines). The only negative inside is the virtual absence of seats in the back, especially if there is a tall man. The equipment of the car in the minimum configuration is amazing: in the basic model you get a stereo, electrically adjustable seats and mirrors, heated mirrors, an immobilizer and fog lights.

The engine is a pleasant surprise. Being the same volume as the ZAZ, it squeezes out 90 horses and picks up speed quickly. The gearbox is a bit agricultural, but the ratios are spread smoothly and evenly. The downside to the dynamics are the brakes. If you suddenly need to brake sharply, then, most likely, a complete stop will occur after direct contact with a tree. In addition, one of the main disadvantages of the car is the delivery time and the small number of sales outlets. Explaining that “the model is not very common,” the dealer promised a three-week or even a month’s wait.

Nevertheless, the car left a very good impression. What impressed me the most was the interior and the equipment of the basic configuration. The disadvantages include terrible brakes, delivery times and problems with the Circassian assembly (which, in fact, are quite solvable, but for a car costing 260 thousand rubles - inevitable).

Chery QQ6. The price in the minimum configuration is 267,000 rubles.

So we have come to the last position of our rating, which, just like the penultimate one, is occupied by a Chinese car. China, as you know, is famous for its similarity in many ways to its European and American counterparts, which they sell for ridiculous money. It's the same story with cars. Therefore, Chery’s equipment for its price is surprising. In the minimum (!) configuration you get: ABS, two airbags, air conditioning, on-board computer, fog lights, alloy wheels, CD radio, heated mirrors, power accessories, central locking, immobilizer, alarm. The 1.1-liter engine, which develops 68 hp, is, of course, rather weak, but compared to the above-mentioned advantages, it can be tolerated. The car is quite affordable. In salons they call the time frame two days, which is very cool; the wait only fuels interest in the new acquisition. But, by the way, I was never able to find an official Chery dealer.

So far everything sounds like this car is the best investment of your 267,000 rubles. But wait, there are some problems. Firstly, Chery QQ6 is one of the ugliest cars produced today. Only Daewoo Matiz and Porsche Panamera can compete with it. Secondly, the disgusting gray plastic in the cabin constantly makes you think that you are in a children's sand bucket. Pads that fall apart while driving, hard gearbox shifts, and breaking clutch cables also do not add to the charm of the car.

The final nail in this car's coffin will be its body. This is not to say that it is fragile. You can't say it's plastic like a Corvette. When you touch it, it rather resembles... foil. While reading the forums of owners of this car, I came across several people who received a dent in the body by accidentally hitting it with a gun at a gas station. You can buy Chery QQ6. You will receive a well-equipped, cheap, economical car with a “stylish urban design”. But if you have even a drop of common sense and love for your children in the passenger seat, you will never do this.

So, we have come to the point where out of the five cars presented above we need to choose one. The choice is difficult, not only because you need to name one of as many as five candidates. In reality, the choice consists of two cars, because the rest were in the ranking simply because they are the cheapest. So, Daewoo Nexia or Lifan Breez? It’s probably better to pay an extra 23 thousand rubles and take the Lifan. In order to get all the same equipment, but in Daewoo, you will have to pay more. But it’s not even its rich equipment that makes you choose the Breez. First of all, Lifan stands out for its interior, which is cheap, unpretentious and very pleasant. And, by the way, Breez’s price-quality ratio is one of the best in the segment.

P.S. You may have noticed that virtually not a word was said about the safety of any of the five cars. There is a reason for this: I didn’t want to waste lines and your time saying the same thing for all five cars. It is clear that if you buy a vehicle for less than 300 thousand, you cannot count on safety. Moreover, it became known that after receiving the results of crash tests of the previously listed cars, EuroNCAP experts unexpectedly began to scream and huddle in corners.
